So many messages, so little time .. who knew starting my business would open up such a minefield for me to have, to be fair a canny lot of people thinking it's fine to message me, these random strangers just saying Hi (apparently) .. well that's how it starts 😬 I mean come on, my business is helping and encouraging Singles to connect offline .. "Offline Dating" .. silly me for thinking anyone looking at my profile would realise I'm not into the online thing. In fact it makes me question online dating more than ever if the majority of these messages are anything to go by !

The main reason I started www.singleapproach.com is that I've never and still don't want to (probably never will) use any online dating apps. No offence to those who do and that's nearly everyone right ? It's really only because I, honestly I just don't want to. There I've said it, I don't want to ! No if's or but's and it is OK, just that I prefer to meet him offline, face to face, human to human, the old fashioned way, out of the blue, unexpectedly or he could be someone I already know right ? 🤷‍♀️ Single Approach is proving I'm not the only one who has the same feels.

We're putting it out there and flying the flag for us Singletons who do still enjoy connecting the old fashioned way, face to face, simply by wearing a Single Approach Heart and showing we're Single & Approachable "Offline" .. It's subtle yet gentle and really is the perfect ice breaker and conversation starter. I've had some interesting attention and a few successful dates because of it but hey that's another story.

Going back to the uninvited messages which, don't get me wrong, are (sometimes) flattering, but unfortunately just not for me. The usual scenario is to reply with a polite "Hey alright blah blah blah and then a basic .. I'm not into chatting online with people I don't know" .. I mean if I was I'd have definitely joined a dating site by now right ? It might come across a bit harsh or cold but whatever they think, it's how I feel and I'm not messing about, been there, done that, and you know what, if it blows my chances of meeting the "profile of my dreams" then I really am prepared to take that risk.

Thankfully there are some really nice decent guys out there who, after my standard response, have actually asked to meet up .. result 👍 and I have with a few of them (again that's another blog) Then there's those who just don't get it and bombard with random questions .. Howay mate please, just bore off yeah .. Surely I can’t be the only one who thinks like this 🙄It’s then usually a #blocked from me. Oh my, it really is an absolute minefield and I don't want to be a part of it. I'll be wearing my Heart on my sleeve in the offline world keeping it real 💛 Wish me luck xx
